Using a Standing Desk for Work: Week 1

Warning: This post is 9 years old. Some of this information may be out of date.
Its been a week since my post last week, “Using a standing desk for work: Day 1” so I thought I'd write a update.
Initially I thought it would be tough going but after the first three days it feels natural to stand up and work. My legs don't ache any more and any foot discomfort fades quickly. I am feeling energetic towards the end of the day rather than the usual lethargy.
I have tried different footwear, from slippers to trainers but am still finding aching feet after a couple of hours. I intend to buy better trainers and use those for standing whilst working.
I'm sitting down for breaks which is not only helping the aches, but also takes me away from the screen for a while which can only be a good thing. I could go for a walk around the Technology Park at work but as its January and the temperatures are hovering around the 1°C mark I'm giving that a miss for now.
